Privacy Policy

Glow collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers. We don't collect, store, sell or share any personal data.
How Glow talks to your lights
Directly, over Bluetooth or your home Wi-Fi network. Commands go from your iPhone or Apple Watch straight to the light and never pass through us.
What stays on your device
The lights you add and their names, their last colour and brightness, your recent colours, favourite effects and schedules, and any access keys for hubs you pair (such as Philips Hue or Home Assistant). This is stored on your iPhone and shared with your paired Apple Watch through Apple's WatchConnectivity. Deleting the app deletes it.
Permissions
- Bluetooth: to find and control Bluetooth lights.
- Local Network: to find and control Wi-Fi lights.
- Home: only if you add lights from the Apple Home app.
You can turn any of these off in Settings at any time.
Siri, Shortcuts and search
If you use Glow with Siri or Shortcuts, those requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; Glow only receives the action, such as "turn on". Glow adds the names of your lights and effects to search on your device, and tells Siri which actions you use so it can suggest them. This all stays on your device.
Problem reports
If a light isn't working, you can choose to send a report by email. You see exactly what's in it before it's sent: the light's type and settings, the last commands Glow sent, and your answers from Check This Light. Nothing is sent unless you send it.
Children
Glow doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
